Our Vision

The world around us has been shaped by the creativity, innovation, knowledge and skills of designers, crafts people and engineers. Every day we rely on the use of the practical outcomes of these intellectual processes.

At Ryedale School, we strive to deliver a diverse and broad education that inspires students to question and investigate the world around them. We expose students to what is recognised as iconic design and enable them to generate concepts, apply theoretical knowledge and practical skills to develop creative solutions surrounding real-world issues.

We aim to develop an understanding of materials, manufacturing processes and impact on society and the environment whilst providing students with the skills and knowledge to work successfully in the fields of designing and making.
